Pacific F2000 Series Leader Jeff Westphal was putting in some hours on a simulator compliments of long time Friend/Sponsor Go Pro Hero Cameras. Jeff was training to keep his skills sharp during the 6 week break between the previous round at Infineon Raceway and the upcoming, challenging Miller Motorsports Park.
“Racing Simulators today are incredibly accurate these days, so when Nick gave me a call and invited me down to try out his new sim set up, i could not turn him down”
Jeff is not the only driver that looks to computers for a more cost effective way to get some seat time, pro’s from all aspects of motorsports are looking to get free (or close to it) laps of a track prior to a competition. “I know Scott Pruett does some Simulator Training at Infineon Raceway before he arrives with his team in their Daytona Prototype.”
Let’s Wait and find out if the Sim helped Jeff with a competitive edge!
